About this collection

The Lois Cowles Harrison Center for the Visual and Performing Arts opened in 1989 in Lakeland Florida.  It attracts students in grades nine through twelve interested in visual and performing arts the from across Polk County.  It shares a campus and classroom space with Lakeland High School.

Students at the Harrison Center are offered the opportunity to study drama, dance, music, and the visual arts, while studying traditional academic subjects in classes with Lakeland High School Students.  Many of the graduates of the Harrison School have attended some of the country's most prestigious universities, starred in Broadway, movie, and television productions, joined professional dance companies, and enjoyed successful careers in the visual arts.

The posters in this collecton procide a small sample of the plays and other performances produced by the students and faculty at the Lois Cowles Harrison Center for the Visual and performing Arts.
